Cotton & Company LLP is pleased to announce the election of two partners.

Melinda DeCorte, CPA, who joined the firm in 2003, directs financial statement audit and consulting engagements for Cotton & Company clients. Earlier experience includes 5 years as a finance officer with the United States Army. She received a BBA (Summa cum Laude) in Economics from Georgia State University in Atlanta. Ms. DeCorte is the Elijah Watts Sells Gold Medal Winner with the highest score in the country for the November 2002 CPA examination; her score was perfect.

Jeffrey A. Long, CPA, CGFM, joined Cotton & Company in August 2001 with 2 years of earlier audit and accounting experience gained with a major public accounting firm and Cotton & Company. Mr. Long directs financial statement audit and consulting engagements. He received a BS in Accounting (Magna cum Laude) from the University of Maryland.
