Class Offerings

Auditing Under the CFO Act: This 3.5-day course (28 CPE hours) helps auditors and financial managers understand the complexities of CFO Act auditing. Presented in seven modules, with opportunities to discuss real experiences and current issues. Designed for basic and intermediate skill levels.
Costs for 20 participants: $10,428. Each additional participant: $520.

Advanced GPRA Auditing Techniques: This program gives federal managers the tools and techniques to implement the performance plan, measures, and reporting aspects of the GPRA. The 3-day program (24 CPE hours) provides theory with practical, interesting exercises. The optional 1/2-day workshop gives individuals the opportunity to discuss and resolve agency-specific GPRA implementation issues. Designed for intermediate skill level.
Cost for 20 participants: $10,428. Each additional participant: $520.

Applying SAS in Government and Nonprofit Audits: This 1-day course (8 CPE hours) explains how to implement AICPA's new fraud detection standard in governmental audits. Uses lecture, discussion, problem-solving, and case study teaching techniques. Designed for basic skill level.
Cost for 20 participants: $1,841. Each additional participant: $153.

Contract and Procurement Fraud: This 1-day course (8 CPE hours) focuses on fraud schemes and red flags in the four phases of the procurement cycle: needs recognition, solicitation development, evaluation and award, and contract administration and closeout. Designed for basic skill level.
Cost for 20 participants: $1,841. Each additional participant: $153.

 

Auditing the Federal Contracting Process: This 2-day course (16 CPE hours) explains the various types of contract audit services, their objectives, how they support the contracting process, and their bases in the Federal Acquisition Regulation. Focuses on audit techniques and processes. Designed for basic skill level.
Cost for 20 participants: $3,680. Each additional participant $306.

Finding Fraud in Government and Nonprofit Programs: This 1-day course (8 CPE hours) explains why government and nonprofit organizations are more susceptible to fraud and highlights what the auditor should know to maximize changes of detecting material misstatements caused by fraud. Designed for basic skill level.
Cost for 20 participants: $1,841. Each additional participant: $153.

Accounting for Federal Government Contracts: This 2-day course (16 CPE hours) teaches how to properly account for various types of government contracts in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation. Covers the nature of different types of contracts, direct and indirect costs, allowable and unallowable costs, and how to assure that only allocable and allowable costs are charged to government contracts. Designed for basic skill level.
Cost for 20 participants: $3,680. Each additional participant: $306.
